Kootenai River Flow: 13,000 Cubic Feet per second, 6 foot visibility, 54 degrees

Yaak River Flow: 843 CFS

Fisher River Flow: 464 CFS

Hatches: Caddis, PMD’s, Little Blue Quills, March Browns, Little Olive Stones, Midges, BWO, Large Carpenter Ants on warmer days. Green and Brown Drakes on some of the tribs.

Effective Patterns

Dry: Elk Hair Caddis, Parachute Adams, Purple Haze #16-20, Tan Stimulator #8 and 10, Griffiths Gnat, small Golden and Olive Stones, Standard Adams, Red Quill, Sunken Black Ants

Nymph and Streamers: Beadhead Prince, pheasant tail, stones and midge pupa. Black/Olive Conehead wooly buggers, kokanee killers

Fishing Report: River is up to 54 degrees, Grannom and Tan Caddis are coming off strong in the evenings, some PMD action starting. BWO and Little Blue Quills, Little Olive Stones, Black Ants. Glacial silt is settling out, and fish are looking up… Summer is upon us! Yaak and other tributaries are fishing well!
