Kootenai River Flow: 8,000 Cubic Feet per second 15 foot visibility,56 degrees. Flows are set to drop the first part of October. Some wade fishing available, wade with caution!

Koocanusa Inflow: 4,200 CFS

Hatches: Pale Morning Duns and Tan Caddis dominate the show, with some Green Drakes starting to show at night. Hoppers are here!

Effective Patterns 

Dry:   All PMD and Caddis Patterns, X-caddis, All Hopper, Chubby patterns, October Caddis, Blue wing olive and little blue quills on overcast days.

Nymph and Streamers: Da Bomb, Beadhead Prince, Pheasant Tail, Stones and Midge Pupa, Soft Hackles. Black/Olive Conehead Wooly Buggers, Sculpins, Pat’s Rubber Legs, blow torch, walts worm
