Kootenai River Flow: 4,000 Cubic Feet per second, minimum flow, 6-8 foot visibility, 44 degrees. Libby Dam outflow is expected to remain here till Sturgeon Flow/runoff augmentation in mid-May. Fisher River and tributaries beginning to show some run-off.

Hatches: Little Blue Quills, Blue wing Olives, Western March Browns, Charcoal Sedges, Silver Stripe Caddis, Little Olive Stones.

Effective Patterns 

Dry: Parachute Adams #14-20, Purple Haze #16-20, Cubby Chernobyl #10-14, Tan Stimulator #8 and 10, Griffiths Gnat, small Golden and Olive Stones, Standard Adams, Red Quill, Royal Wulff

Nymph and Streamers: Da Bomb, Beadhead Prince, Pheasant Tail, Stones and Midge Pupa, Soft Hackles. Black/Olive Conehead Wooly Buggers.

Fishing Report: Social distancing on the river with friends until the guiding moratorium is lifted. Moving some nice fish on streamers. Lots of action on the surface from 2-5pm. Dry action slows down as river begins to cool in the early evening. Water temps are finally rising past the 40 degree mark!
