Kootenai River Flow: 4,000 Cubic Feet per second (minimum flow),  6 foot visibility, 38 degrees.  Fisher River Flow 615 entering Kootenai, water temp 47 degrees

Koocanusa Inflow: 4300

Hatches: Little Blue Quills, Midges, Silver Stripe Tan Caddis, Blue Wing Olive, Little Olive Stones

Effective Patterns 

Dry: Parachute Adams #14-20, Purple Haze #16-20,  Tan Stimulator #8 and 10, Griffiths Gnat, Olive Stone Fly, Blue Wing Olives

Nymph and Streamers: Da Bomb, Beadhead Prince, Pheasant Tail, Stones and Midge Pupa, Soft Hackles. Black/Olive Conehead Wooly Buggers, Sculpins, Pat’s Rubber Legs.

Fishing Report: Open to guiding.  Water is still cold however Fisher River is warming things with its increased temp of 47degrees at its mouth.  Fish slower water where runs drop into holes, some surface activity 2-4 pm. Upper River is Closed for Spawning till June 1. Fisher River runoff is beginning but still very fishable. More Whitefish activity than Trout currently with the cold temps. Starting to see some good surface feeding in the afternoons.
