Kootenai River Flow:  15,000 Cubic Feet per second 10- foot visibility, 49 degrees. Mid-range flow, some glacial silt entering Kootenai from Tribs. 

Koocanusa Inflow: 26,000 reservoir fill is starting. 

Hatches: Little Blue Quills, BWO, starting to see some PMD and Tan Caddis

Effective Patterns 

Dry: BWO, Parachute adams, purple haze, Red Quill, X-caddis, All Chubbys.

Nymph and Streamers: Da Bomb, Beadhead Prince, Pheasant Tail, Stones and Midge Pupa, Soft Hackles. Black/Olive Conehead Wooly Buggers, Sculpins, Pat’s Rubber Legs.

Fishing Report: The Kootenai is one of the only rivers fishing in Montana these days with most rivers and streams and flood stage. Thanks for the Dam! River is dropping to 9,000  cfs in the next few days.
