Kootenai River Flow:  13,000 Cubic Feet per second 8- foot visibility, 52 degrees. below mid-range flow, some glacial silt entering Kootenai from Tribs. 

Koocanusa Inflow: 46,000 reservoir fill is starting. 

Hatches: Little Blue Quills, BWO, starting to see some PMD and Tan Caddis

Effective Patterns 

Dry: BWO, Parachute adams, purple haze, Red Quill, X-caddis, All Chubbys, some PMD’s and tan caddis starting to show

Nymph and Streamers: Da Bomb, Beadhead Prince, Pheasant Tail, Stones and Midge Pupa, Soft Hackles. Black/Olive Conehead Wooly Buggers, Sculpins, Pat’s Rubber Legs.

Fishing Report: The river is fishing well with Dam controlled clear water, some glacial silt mixed in with large inflow coming into the reservoir, its rising 4 feet a day.
