Kootenai River Flow: 26,000 Cubic Feet per second,  8 foot visibility, 51 degrees. Libby Dam outflow is expected to remain here till Sturgeon Flow/runoff augmentation in mid-May. Fisher River and other tributaries in runoff stage, Fisher @ 1300 cfs, Yaak @2700 cfs

Koocanusa Inflow: 47,000

Hatches: Little Blue Quills, Blue wing Olives, Western March Browns, Black Ants, Some Caddis starting to show

Effective Patterns 

Dry: Parachute Adams #14-20, Purple Haze #16-20, Cubby Chernobyl #10-14, Tan Stimulator #8 and 10, Griffiths Gnat, small Golden and Olive Stones, Standard Adams, Red Quill, Royal Wulff, Black Ants

Nymph and Streamers: Da Bomb, Beadhead Prince, Pheasant Tail, Stones and Midge Pupa, Soft Hackles. Black/Olive Conehead Wooly Buggers.

Fishing Report: Open to guiding under social distancing guidelines!   moving 20-25 fish with Nymphs and Dries during a recent half-day float. Fisher and Yaak at runoff flows with warming weather. 26,000 is maximum flow: Wade with caution and wear wader belt!
