Kootenai River Flow: 4,000 Cubic Feet per second (minimum flow),  10 foot visibility, 39 degrees.

Koocanusa Inflow: 3000

Hatches: Little Blue Quills, Midges, Silver Stripe Tan Caddis

Effective Patterns 

Dry: Parachute Adams #14-20, Purple Haze #16-20,  Tan Stimulator #8 and 10, Griffiths Gnat

Nymph and Streamers: Da Bomb, Beadhead Prince, Pheasant Tail, Stones and Midge Pupa, Soft Hackles. Black/Olive Conehead Wooly Buggers, Sculpins

Fishing Report: Open to guiding, Water is Cold! Fish slower water where runs drop into holes, some surface activity 2-4 pm. Upper River is Closed for Spawning till June 1. Fisher River runoff is beginning but still very fishable. More Whitefish activity than Trout currently with the cold temps.
