Kootenai River Flow: 9,000 Cubic Feet per second 8-foot visibility, 43 degrees.  Fisher River Flow 1000 cfs entering Kootenai

Koocanusa Inflow 11,200

Hatches: Little Blue Quills, Midges, Silver Stripe Tan Caddis, Blue Wing Olive, Little Olive Stones, Western March Browns, Some Caddis starting to show on lower river.

Effective Patterns 

Dry: Parachute Adams #14-20, Purple Haze #16-20,  Tan Stimulator #8 and 10, Griffiths Gnat, Olive Stone Fly, Blue Wing Olives, Red Quill, Grannom Caddis

Nymph and Streamers: Da Bomb, Beadhead Prince, Pheasant Tail, Stones and Midge Pupa, Soft Hackles. Black/Olive Conehead Wooly Buggers, Sculpins, Pat’s Rubber Legs.

Fishing Report: 25 fish on dries on a recent 1/2 day afternoon float! River temp is on the rise!  Seeing lots of surface activity activity 1-6 pm. Caddis starting on the Troy stretches. Upper 4 miles below dam is Closed for Spawning till June 1. Flows have been increases for reservoir management VAR-Q, outflow will match inflow for the next couple of weeks.
