Kootenai River Flow: 25,000 Cubic Feet per second 8 foot visibility,50 degrees. Maximum flow

Koocanusa Inflow: 35,700 cfs

Hatches: Little Blue Quills, Midges, Silver Stripe Caddis, Western March Brown, Grannon Caddis, Olive Stones, Black Ants

Effective Patterns 

Dry: BWO, midge pupa, small parachute adams, tan stimulator, tan chubby, Red Quill, Purple Haze, Olive Chubby, Black Ants

Nymph and Streamers: Da Bomb, Beadhead Prince, Pheasant Tail, Stones and Midge Pupa, Soft Hackles. Black/Olive Conehead Wooly Buggers, Sculpins, Pat’s Rubber Legs.

Fishing Report: The river is at maximum flow for the next couple of weeks for the Kootenai River White Sturgeon, to help  trigger spawning. Water temps are stable around 50 and there is decent fishing out of the main channel areas. Water clarity is very good, with rising fish in the afternoons.
