River Flow –  9,000 cfs , 10-15 ft visibility, River Temp – 53 degrees  FALL FISHING BEGINS!

Hatches –  Still lots of hoppers and terrestrials out there, tiny winged mahogany ants, look for little blue quills, BWO and ginger quills on overcast days, still some caddis action with the beginning of October Caddis and our aquatic moths, Lepidoptera.

Effective Patterns : All Hopper Patterns, #18,20 parachute adams, royal wulff, split-wing purple haze, Kootenai caddis, griffiths gnat. tiny winged ants of any size or color, #14, 16 prince nymph da-bomb, #4,6 cone-head black/olive buggers, small olive and orange stimulators, Royal Wulff

Guide Report: Day long dry fly conditions with lots of terrestrial patterns, an average of 50 fish raised per person/day, good hatch activity on overcast days.

Fishing outlook – River is set to be at 9000 CFS through mid-September, with flows decreasing the mid to end of the month.
