River Report: June 5-12, 2014

River Flow –  26,400 cfs , 6-12 ft visibility, River Temp – 42 degrees

Hatches –  Midges, Little Blue Quills, Silver Stripe Caddis, little olive stone, Blue-wing Olives, March Brown

Effective Patterns : #18,20 parachute adams, split-wing purple haze, griffiths gnat. #14, 16 prince nymph da-bomb, #4,6 cone-head black/olive buggers, small olive stimulators.

Guide Report: 25 fish on dries taken last Thursday on the Kootenai, 2nd sturgeon pulse flow started, tributaries are shaping up.

Fishing outlook – River is warming and at the 1st tier of Sturgeon flows. No wading areas open.  Good insect activity, dries in the afternoons. Even though river is high, it is very clear, fishing well.
