The long indian summer of Montana is finally over, cooler weather has arrived with all of its grandeur. October Caddis have been sighted and Little Blue Quills along with Blue-wing olives make up the menu. Remnant PMD’s and Tan Caddis are also showing their last full measure of the season. Day-long dry fly fishing starting around 10am till dusk most fall days. Look for extended hatch time on overcast days. Voracious surface feeding combined with spectacular fall colors make this a great time to be on the water.
