This year starting the last Sunday in May we are continuing the tradition of Pasture Pickin’ at our location on the river hence the new name. Pasture Pickin has been going on for over 20 years and was located at Snyder Field 6 miles up Pipe Creek road. Dale and Dorothy Berg the organizers of the event asked me to take it on. River Pickin’ will be the same gathering of County, Bluegrass and Old Time music lovers and Pickers from throughout the Northwest. It will take place once every year beginning the last Sunday in May for one week. It is always very a great way to relax and de-stress listening and playing music with back drop of the Kootenai River. The last Saturday evening will show case some of the local area bands at the Rapids. We are looking forward to seeing everyone. The River Bend restaurant will be open throughout the week for meals.
